Threading

All our threading therapists are trained in India or Mauritius and are highly specialised and experienced in this technique.

Threading is a method of hair removal originating in India and Central Asia. In recent times it has gained popularity in the western countries, especially with a cosmetic application particularly for shaping eyebrows.

In threading, a thin or polyester thread is doubled; it is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at follicle level. Threading can remove short rows of hair at a time.

It provides precise shaping of the eyebrows and is a lot gentler on the skin.

It is also used as a method of removing unwanted hairs on the face, neck and upper and lower lip.

A disadvantage is that it can be painful if several hairs are removed at once, however if done correctly the pain can be minimised.

There are a few techniques for threading, these include hand, mouth and neck method, each has advantages and disadvantages, however our beauty therapists use the mouth method that is precise, fastest and least painful.

Tinting

Tinting will semi-permanently change the colour of your eyebrow and eyelash hairs, giving them a stronger pigment and making them look fuller in the process.

Brow and lash tints normally last between 2 weeks but this can vary from person to person depending on the skin type, skincare routine and sun exposure.

  • 10 mins for eyebrows
  • 15 minutes for eyelashes.

You will have to have a 24 hour patch test before any tinting can be used.
